Changes in communication in Indonesia after globalization

And just like any other country, Indonesia is experiencing globalization that improve and changes people’s quality and way of life. This also includes in communication department. In this essay, we will discuss 3 changes in terms of communication.

Paragraph 5	Conclusion	Globalization in Indonesia has changed many things in the communication sector. Indonesia is getting more modern in the sector, which is for the better. Especially in 3 ways such as people’s communication, getting information, and promotions, there are many changes that improves them due to globalization.

 

 

Globalization is the process of interaction and integration among people, companies, and governments worldwide.This means that the instances involved in the process are exchanging what they have to one another to be better. And just like any other country, Indonesia is experiencing globalization that improve and changes people’s quality and way of life. This also includes in communication department. In this essay, we will discuss 3 changes in terms of communication.

First, people’s way to communicate with each other is easier these days. In the past, writing letters was the only way people can communicate long distance, but now text messages are available. This allows people to easily get and read essays or invitations in the palm of their hands practically. And people also can call each other via phone calls in case whether because of emergency reasons, or just being practical. There was nothing that let people communicate instantly before.

Second, getting information is easier now. Once, people have to wait in the morning to get news, but now they can just use their mobile phones to browse for news. This is because nowadays there are plenty of news article websites on the internet ready to be browsed. People also can watch news playback of a TV program in case they missed it. They can do it if the playbacks are saved on YouTube or any other video web platforms on the internet.

Third, marketing and promotions are made easier in these times. Posters and brochures were the only things available for promotions of new café, proucts, etc. It’s due to the fact that there was no internet back then to promotes somethings online. But now we can see advertisements in a form of online ads when we read artciles or watching videos on the internet. More efficiently, they can also advertise their product by giving people personal messages.

Globalization in Indonesia has changed many things in the communication sector. Indonesia is getting more modern in the sector, which is for the better. Especially in 3 ways such as people’s communication, getting information, and promotions, there are many changes that improves them due to globalization.

What I like to do on my holiday

Holidays, without homeworks and task, may be too boring for people cause they sometimes be the time when there are absolutely nothing to do to pass the time. As for me, I have some things that I do in those times to make holidays feel better. There are 3 things that I like to do on my holiday.

              

The first thing is watching YouTube videos. Some of the videos can be educating for me, like cooking videos. In those videos I can know cooking techniques like frying, pan searing, etc. From those videos I also learn that almost every single part of an animal can be cooked or served. Like how we can serve bone marrow as an appetizer with wine or cow brain being able to be served as head cheese. I'm actually entertained by watching horror videos. There are usually jumpscares in the videos, which give me some "kicks" that I like. And of course, the grotesque looks of the ghost gets me the frights that I like.



The second thing I like to do is listening to songs. I like it because some of it have beautiful lyrics. The "you're here there's nothing I fear" part in the song "My Heart Will Go On" is an example of a beautiful lyric that I like, as I feel the depth of love described in the song. And the music that gives clear atmosphere of the songs is also the reason why I like listening to songs. Sometimes there are drum sounds which gives more dramatic feelings in the songs. Or smooth guitar fingerstyle usually used in intro to give calm mood about the song to the listeners.



The last one is playing guitar. I do it to express my feelings through songs with guitar. Sometimes when I hear a song that matches my feelings and current conditions, I play guitar to look for the notes and chords of the song so I can play it myself. And I like playing guitar cause some genres have cool chord. Like in jazz genre usually has cool chords like Gmaj7 requiring me to use 4 fingers and F that needs my index finger to tap on all strings in the first fret of the guitar.

Surely there are more interesting things that I like to do. But for me as an electrical engineering student, which usually have only few holidays and free time, those 3 things are the best and most enjoyable way to spend those holidays.
